Skills Required: You will need to work basic knit stitches, st st and moss st and work a basic rib.
Yarn Type: I used Rowan’s ‘Cocoon’ 80% Wool, 20% Mohair ‘MADE IN BRITAIN’ in chunky weight, 8 x 100g balls, 115m/126y per 100g

Sizes to Fit:

One Size: One size fits multiple chest sizes, due to the nature of its construction it will wear slightly longer on smaller chests. As a guide our model is a UK 8 chest size 32” and is 5 ft 5in

One Size fits chests: 81 -106 cm/ 32 – 46in
Width cuff to cuff: 110cm/43in
Length: 100cm/40in
*8 x 100g balls, 115m/126y per 100g

Yarn amounts are based on average requirements and are approximate. You may wish to order an extra ball/skein to be sure you have sufficient yarn.

Materials Required:

You will need:
One pair 7mm (US 10 ½) straight or circular needles
Tapestry needle for sewing up
Yarn approx. 920m/1008y of chunky weight yarn

Tension:
In st st pattern using 7mm (US 10 ½ ) needles: 13sts x18 rows over 10 x 10cm (4x 4in) – adjust your needle size to match this tension.

*Tensions are provided should you wish to substitute an alternative yarn to that suggested by us. Please ensure you knit a tension square to check that the yarn is suitable as not all yarns will give a like for like result.
