Ability: Beginners  
Skills Required: You will need to be able to work a simple rib and cable pattern. This pattern is written for both straight and circular knitting.
Yarn Type: I used 100% Merino Wool from Rowan called Big wool in super bulky weight yarn. 2 x 100g balls (80m/87y per 100g). For an alternative try Cascades Lana Grande– 100% Peruvian Wool, 100g = 80m/87yrds

Yarn amounts are based on average requirements and are approximate. You may wish to order an extra ball/skein to be sure you have sufficient yarn.

You will need:
One pair 10mm (US 15) straight needles or circular needles (optional)

Tapestry needle for sewing up (optional)

Yarn approx. 160m/174yards super chunky weight

Tension:
12 sts x 12 rows in 10 x 10cm (4 x 4 in), over cabled pattern using 10mm (US 15) needles, please adjust your needle size as necessary
