“A Snug fit cabled beanie hat with a ribbed double cuff hem. A great essential for Men and Women and super cute on kids. Written for 2 sizes S/M and M/L. This is a quick knit, worked on big needles with chunky yarn.

Unlike the earlier Suffolk hat pattern this hat is written for Flat knitting.

Knitted measurements approx: circumference 46cm /18 in, height as worn 30 cm/ 11 ½ in

Materials Required:

You will need:
Approx 150g (160m/174y) of Barefaced Chunky wool/alpaca or suitable alternative
Pair of 7mm (US 10 ½ -11) straight needles
Chunky Cable needle
Tapestry needle for sewing up
Optional Fake fur pom pom (100% Polyester)

Tension:
Using 7mm (US 10 ½ -11) needles over 10 x 10cm (4 x 4in):
In st st - 12sts x 17rows
In Cable pattern - 18 sts x 17rows

Tensions are provided should you wish to substitute an alternative yarn to that suggested by us, please ensure you knit a tension square to check that the yarn is suitable as not all yarns will give a like for like result.
