Skills Required: This is a project for first-time knitters using basic knit and purl stitches, and simple shapings.
Yarn Type: We used Rowan Purelife British Sheep Breeds Chunky 100% undyed wool
Yarn Shade: Pictured in mid brown Jacob 0952.

You will need (approx): 1 ball / 95g (105m / 114yds)
Adult:
Circumference - 50½cm (20in)
Knitted measurements approx:
Circumference - 61cm (24in)
Diameter - 32cm (12½in)
You will need (approx): 1.5 balls / 150g (165m / 180yds)
*1 ball = 100g (approx 110m / 120yds). If you intend to substitute this yarn make sure you have checked the meterage per ball to get the correct amount
Materials Required:
One pair each of 5½mm (US 9) and 7mm (US 10½ - 11) straight needles Tapestry needle for sewing up

Tension:
13 sts x 18 rows to 10 x 10cm (4 x 4in) in garter st using 7mm (US10½ - 11) needles. Tensions are provided should you wish to substitute an alternative yarn to that suggested by us. Please ensure you knit a tension square to check that the yarn is suitable as not all yarns will give a like for like result.
