Ability: Easy/Intermediate

Skills Required: You will need to be able to work a simple garter stitch and basic cable techniques. You’ll also need to be able to pick up stitches and work a rib.

Yarn Type: Yarn approx. 120g (160g with self pom pom) of BareFaced Wool/Alpaca in

One size to fit average adult. With negative ease will stretch to fit.

Materials Required:

One pair 8mm ( 11 US) & 7mm (10.5 US) straight needles. Cable Needle. Tapestry needle for sewing in ends. Safety pins. Optional fake fur pom pom or a 10cm/4in pom pom maker. Yarn approx. 120g (160g with self pom pom) of BareFaced Wool/Alpaca in chunky weight, or 170m/186y in alternative yarn.

Tension:

Using 8mm (11US) in garter stitch pattern: 12.5sts x 17.5 rows = 10cm x 10cm (approx.)

Note you may need to go up or down a needle size to match this tension.

Tensions are provided should you wish to substitute an alternative yarn to that suggested by us. Please ensure you knit a tension square to check that the yarn is suitable as not all yarns will give a like for like result.
