Ability: Easy
Skills Required: You will need to be able to work a basic rib, and a simple cable and be able to decrease stitches.
Yarn Type: Any Chunky weight yarn, I used 100% British Wool from Rowan in chunky weight (undyed) 100g = 110m/120yds, I used approx. 120gms
Yarn Shade: I've used the natural shade of steel grey Suffolk but you can use any shade you like!
Yarn Weight: Chunky Bulky

Sized to fit: Snug fit for Average Adult head and Slouchy fit for kids Actual circumference (not stretched): 42cm/16 ½ in Actual height (as worn): 23cm/9in
You will need: Yarn approx.130m/145yds in Chunky weight wool.100g = 110m/120yds, I used approx. 120gms
Yarn amounts are based on average requirements and are approximate. You may wish to order an extra ball/skein to be sure you have sufficient yarn.
Materials Required:
Set of 7mm (US 10 1/2 - 11) DPN’s or circular needles
Cable needle
Tapestry needle for sewing up
optional pom pom
Tension:
In stocking stitch using 7mm (US 10 ½ -11) needles: 13sts x 18rows over 10 x 10cm (4 x 4in)
Note this hat is worked circular, however if you’d prefer to work straight see Suffolk II pattern
