Skills Required: You will be required to work in basic rib stitches and be able to do simple decreases, as appropriate. 
Yarn Type: We used Rowan Purelife 100% British wool in 954 Steel Grey Suffolk
Yarn Weight: Chunky / bulky

Size One
Chest 81 - 86cm / 32 - 34in
Knitted measurements approx: chest 100cm / 39½, length 54cm / 21¼in 
You will need: 12 balls/ skeins

Size Two
Chest 100/ 38 -42cm / 34 - 36in
Knitted measurements approx: chest 104cm / 41in, length 57cm /22½in
You will need: 15 balls/ skeins

Size Three
Chest 91.5 - 101.5cm / 36 - 40in 
Knitted measurements approx: chest 107cm / 42in, length 61cm /24in
You will need: 17 balls/ skeins

*100g (approx 110m / 120yds)

Yarn amounts are based on average requirements and are approximate. You may wish to order an extra ball/skein to be sure you have sufficient yarn.

Materials Required:
You will need:
One pair of 7mm (US 10½) straight needles 
Circular needles (optional for picking up neck stitches) 
A tapestry needle for sewing up  
Row counters and stitch markers
6mm crochet hook for button loop 
2 x 5cm (2in) decorative (non-functioning) buttons 
2 x 2cm (¾in) buttons for hidden closure

Tension:
13 sts x 23 rows to 10 x 10cm (4 x 4in) in pineapple st using 7mm (US 10½) needles.
