Work this simple knit as a wash cloth for your face or kitchen or use as a pot holder. Garden twine works equally well when mixed with your stash yarn to offer extra durability.
You’ll need:
Yarn size is less important than picking the right fibre, look for a multi ended cotton, or other non -shrinkable natural material, eg bamboo, linen, flax, hemp etc, recycled textiles work equally well.
I used organic cotton in 3ply with 3 strands held together and a contrast olive green
You’ll need approximately 80gms of a ground colour A and approximately 30gms of a contrast colour B.
Needles:
6mm or appropriate needle size for your choice of yarn.
Tension:
13sts x 20rows over 10cm x10cm in Gst using 6mm needles
Gauge isn’t really very important here, but I found knitting a little looser gives a more fluid, usable wash cloth structure
